Our Story

Founded in 2023 by Silviana Tarigan and Yosia Pratama in Bali, Yayasan Kayu Aras Indonesia was born from a deep commitment to serve underprivileged and unreached communities across the island.

The name “Kayu Aras ” is spiritually inspired by “Pohon Aras” (Cedar Wood), symbolizing the values we uphold: resilience in adversity, deep connections with communities, integrity in all our actions, and the continuity of life through sustainable impact.

Our Mission

To serve, empower, and uplift the unreached communities of Bali—including incarcerated individuals, children in remote orphanages, and underprivileged families—through holistic support, compassion, and sustainable outreach programs grounded in resilience, connection, and integrity.

Our Vision

At Bali where every individual, regardless of geography or background, has equal access to dignity, education, healing, and opportunity. We stand as a symbol of continuity and care—like the cedar wood, Kayu Aras, our namesake.

Yayasan Kayu Aras Indonesia been here not only as a foundation of compassion but also as a forward-thinking movement addressing intergenerational poverty and dignity at every life stage
